Click Masters Digital & Print Competition

Description

All entries to be submitted digitally by 31 July 2026. Finalists will be notified within a week, and then invited to submit a print which will be judged by a panel on the day of LIVE print judging 28 September 2026 in Milton Keynes. 

Tickets to watch the print judging are £10 each, but if you enter THREE images, you get a ticket to watch the judging, FREE.

Categories:

Overall Click Masters Winner

Individual Portrait – Portrait of any individual person, includes studio portraits, environmental portrait or creative portraits. Commissioned and non-commissioned work allowed. Children over the age of 12 weeks are included in this.

Group Portrait – More than one subject in the image (human and pet can be included but must have one Human present in the image), includes studio, environmental or creative. Commissioned and non-commissioned work allowed.

Boudoir – Images of any boudoir work that show off the style. No models are allowed in this category, Commissioned work only. Work using models should be entered into Fashion and Beauty (below)

Maternity – Any image celebrating maternity. A partner and other children can be included, but the focus must be on the pregnant subject. Commissioned and non-commissioned work is allowed.

Newborn – Images of baby up to 12 weeks of age, another subject is also allowed as a prop but must not form a major part of the image. Commissioned and non-commissioned work allowed.

Fashion & Beauty – Images taken of editorial or aspirational fashion or images portraying where the human subject’s beauty has been enhanced. Models are allowed in this category, commissioned and non-commissioned work is allowed.

Domesticated Animals – Images captured of a domesticated animal or pet that is kept as a human companion. i.e. dogs, cats, horses. Images taken of captive wild animals are not permitted.

Wedding – Any image captured on the day of a real wedding. Can be posed or documentary but must have been taken on an actual wedding day. Commissioned work only. No models or styled shoots.

Natural World – Images taken of the natural world in their natural environment, wild animals and macro shots allowed. No captive or trained animals including trained birds of prey are allowed.

Monochrome – Images presented of any subject but purely using monochrome. Black and white or varying tones of only one colour are allowed.

Scapes – Landscapes, Seascapes, Urban Scapes – An image of a scape, whether landscape, Seascape or urban. People if present should not be the primary focus of the image.

Advertising & Commercial – Any commissioned image made for and during a paid shoot for any form of advertising or commercial shoot. All photographic elements to have been taken by the author. Photographic work is to form the primary elements of the image. Minor use of additional elements allowed.

Sports, Travel & Events – Any image taken at a sporting event, or organised event to be documented or an image which shows travel.

The Click Backdrops Category – any image created using a physical Click Backdrop.

Digital Artistry – An open category where the author is allowed to utilise photography and added elements from AI, drawings, CGI etc. There must be a photographic element in the image.

Rules

1. Every element of an image must have been created by the author (no AI or CGI ) except Digital Artistry.
2. Any retouch or digital compositing to also have been carried out by the author (no external or ai editing elements allowed- content aware fill is allowed as it utilises existing pixels in the image, no generative fill as that is AI created). Digital Artistry is exempt from this rule.
3. Any image submitted may be used by Click Live and Click Masters in future for promotional items relevant to the show. In printed, advertising or digital media. Any image submitted in the Click Backdrops Category may be used by Click Backdrops in printed, advertising or digital media.
4. Click Masters reserve the right to move any image into another category if more suitable.
5. Any prizes obtained are not transferable and no alternatives will be given.
6. No digital elements not photographed by the author may be used (includes stock images, ai or similar.) Digital artistry is exempt as outside elements may be used. Textures may be used as long as they are to enhance and not compose a major part of the image. The judge’s discretion will be used here. Use of plug in’s and software for retouching such as Evoto and Aftershoot Editing is allowed.
7. Wedding MUST have been taken on the day of the actual wedding documents signing.
8. There are no limits on the number of images an author may submit or number of categories.
9. Initial judging will be carried out online using digital submission. Upon completion all images scoring to merit standard will be asked to submit mounted prints (16 x 20 inches with print minimum of 10 inches along longest side). These will then be judged live at Click Live Liite to produce overall winners in each category.
10. The individual winners will be judged under closed conditions by the judging team to produce the overall winner from them.
11. Click Masters reserve the right to remove any image from the competition that is obscene, racist, discriminatory, sexually explicit or content which is otherwise inappropriate.
