Description
Join internationally award winning portrait photographer Stephanie Thornton for an interactive, hands-on workshop exploring how to build striking beauty portraits with confidence and purpose.
Rather than revealing a finished lighting diagram, Stephanie will create one of her signature beauty images live from scratch, adding each light one at a time and explaining exactly why it’s there, what it contributes, and how it changes the final photograph.
Throughout the session you’ll explore the creative decisions behind a successful beauty shoot from concept and styling through to modifier choice, light placement and camera settings. The focus is on understanding light, not memorising setups, giving you the confidence to apply these techniques to your own photography.
With only 20 places available, this workshop is designed to be interactive and relaxed. Ask questions, get involved in the discussion and, once the demonstration is complete, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph the final setup yourself.
Whether you’re a portrait photographer looking to strengthen your lighting knowledge or you’re ready to explore beauty photography for the first time, this workshop will help you think differently about how you create your images.
During the workshop you’ll explore:
-
Building a beauty portrait one light at a time

-
Why every light has a purpose
-

-
