I started working at a high street photographer business in Gloucester, UK as an office manager and part of the sales team for The Photographer Ltd. That company grew exponentially from almost 100 to 1500 schools between 1990 and 1998. I then relocated to St Ives, Cornwall, UK to join the senior team at Tempest Photography (the largest business in the UK in our market) when they bought the business.

In 23 years with the largest school photography business in the UK and as head of sales, I was involved in many interesting projects and all aspects of Tempest business including School & Nursery Photography, Acquisitions, Graduations Photography & Gowning, Military Photography as well as the Yearbooks and Hoodies business. Great people are at the heart of any success, it is that passion, desire and dedication in doing something you love that makes a good business a great one. I now run an active Facebook social media group called MOFOTO which I only started 18 months ago but supports and assists everyone from seasoned pros, to small operators, fledgling businesses and startups in the volume School, sports & nursery photography space. In November 2021, although I never intended to initially, I started my own school photo business and as of now, have 40 schools in the local area and growing fast.
