Emma Jane – Newborn Photography Workshop

My passion for newborn photography started after picking up a camera for the first time to document the early life of my little boy, Jack. Six weeks after photographing my first client I handed in my notice at my teaching job, with only a business name, no bookings in the diary, one month’s pay to live on and a heap load of faith that I would make it in the world of newborn photography.

Seven years on I now have a thriving client business as a newborn photographer which lights my soul, and a training business where I have had the absolute pleasure of teaching hundreds of newborn photographers across the UK and beyond, and watch them grow and flourish within their own studios. When I am teaching newborn photography workshops, I focus on the individual and use my teaching expertise from my previous life to establish how each individual trainee learns best, and then I use that to deliver information and techniques with hands on experience for the trainees, building their muscle memory for posing transitions and understanding the baby psychology behind the behaviours we experience in this genre. I teach people how to work with the baby and not against them.

I couldn’t imagine doing anything else for the rest of my life!
